                                                GRAMMATICAL NOTES

The future tense in Turkish is very easy to form. It follows the usual pattern "infinitive stem + tense suffix + personal suffix.
It is appropriate here to point out that this structure corresponda to the different form of future in English.
This construction can be used to express the range of future tenses in English.
It's also useful to remind you that simple present can be used to express future.
In this case the suffixes used to conjugate the future tense are -(y)ecek (ğ) and -(y)acak (ğ) depending on the infinitive whether rounded or unrounded.
In other word in case of infinitives ending in -MEK, the future tense takes -(y)ecek (ğ).
Viceversa the infinitives ending in -MAK take -(y)acak (ğ) .

The buffer letter 'Y' is used in case the infinitive stem ends in vowel.
The mutation of K in Ğ occurs at the 1st person singular and plural for eufonic reasons.

Infinitive stem+
Future suffixes-(y)ecek (ğ) or -(y)acak (ğ) +

NEGATIVE FORM
The negative form is obtained by attaching the negative suffix -me or -ma to the infinitive stem.
The rest of the structure follows the same pattern as in the affirmative form.
Examples:
She will not write the letter
O mektubu yazmayacak.
We will not meet the boss
Biz müdürle görüşmeyeceğiz
They will not phone the customer service.
Onlar muşteri servisini aramayacaklar
As you may notice the future tense is quite simple to conjugate.
It's worth of reminding you that in the current language future tense is often replaced by the Şimdiki zaman, the Turkish equivalent of the present continuous.
Questions?
I don't think so....
Try to practice more on the future tense by conjugating the following verbs in future tense affirmative and negative forms:
Almak, Bakmak, Çevirmek ( to translate)
